OPUS JazzBand is an icon of Wisconsin jazz, having written, recorded and performed their unique blend of music together for over thirty years. The group is just as comfortable in concert halls as in nightclub enclaves. Opus was featured in the Vibrations Unlimited concert series with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and has shared the stage with jazz artists such as Dizzy Gillespie, Freddie Hubbard, Pat Metheny, Spyro Gyra, Bill Bruford, and many others. In 2013, Opus received a nomination from The Wisconsin Area Music Industry (WAMI) for Best Jazz Group.
Individually, members of the group have performed with national touring of stage shows such as Chorus Line, Grease, Chicago, The Lion King, Spamalot, legally Blond, and many other stage productions. They have individually shared the stage with Stanley Jordan, Dianne Schuur, Fifth Dimension, The Moody Blues, Tony Bennett, Arturo Sandoval, Doc Severinsen to name a few.
